We drove to our daughters' homes in Derry NH Christmas morning through whiteout conditions in spots on rte 93 through what some folks would call "white knuckle" driving. There were periods during which we received more than 3 inches per hour.

It was nice to have a decent amount of snow for christmas here inthe Rochester, NY area. It has not been the case in the last several years. We got about 8” over saturday and sunday. No snow fell on christmas day. Since then it has just been plain cold. I guess Erie, PA got almost 5 feet on christmas day!

Only 8"? It looks like the snow is almost to the top of your chimney.
