I believe so. I have provided information about Fred W. Nickerson and his father, Calton Nickerson, to the Nickerson Association (MA), who trace Nickersons back to the 1500s. I believe one of them ordered the Parker shotgun, so I'm hoping for tracability from names to serial number. I believe the gun was a DHE from the early 1900s.

Daniel, the PGCA has order books up to December 1919 and stock books (some are missing). The order books have the dealer name, date ordered and shipped, description of the gun, price, etc. Very few orders have the name of the buyer. Dealers would order guns and in some cases the buyers name would appear in the order. An example is where the shield would have the buyers initials. Individuals did order a few guns but I would say the percentage is less than 1%. There are thousands of pages of order books so unless you know the date of purchase it is impossible to find a gun buy looking for a name.
