Today I measured the #1 bismuth shot I received from RotoMetals. Two one ounce samples had 84 and 85 pellets, respectively. Five half ounce samples had 43, 43, 42, 44 and 43 pellets, respectfully, which extrapolates to 86, 86, 84, 88 and 86 pellets per ounce. Therefore, the average pellet count was 85.5 per ounce (~106 pellets in a 1.25 ounce load). Seems fairly consistent in size and comparable with #2 lead.
