I put a short kit on my Mec 600 jr, and rarely take it off. Dean, I have been loading 3/4 oz mainly to get rid of some of my stock of wads and powder. I find that the DR16 wad does not work well in the 2 1/2' shell when loading 7/8 oz, the SG16 wad however works great. Since I have a bunch of International and the DR16 wads, I use them for the 3/4 loads--I really dontsee any difference in my scores at SC, and of course the recoil is non-existant, so great for our O frame 16's and damascus guns.
I do prefer the 7/8 oz loads, but will continue to shoot 3/4 just to get rid of some stock.
