I can't say I agree with that . I actually think a light 12 with regular factory loads might be a hinderance for someone with questionable ability . They would be able to whip and stop that gun to much and then when they slap the trigger it's going to jolt them a bit more . I'd be more inclined to say a 16 at maybe 7 pounds with lite 1 ounce loads for the questionable shot . But with all that being said if the persons ability is suspect they can miss just as easily with a 10 or 12 as they can with a 410 .
