Very interesting Drew -

My post titled 6 FRAME HAMMERLESS in the Hunting with Parkers section describes what was learned from the PGCA letter. The owners name was S.A. Labarre and he spent considerable extra money on these barrels to get the choking just right for him. My assumption from his name is that he may have been of French heritage and your French barrel information sure make me wonder... It may seem crazy but would Parker build an action to fit these barrels???? I dont know how many 6 Frame 10 bores were built but I suspect not too many.

I look forward to learning more..... I hope you and others can shed more light on this. Thank you!

The name probably started out as la Barré

There a neurologist in Phoenix named Lise Labarre. You might contact her and see if S.A. was a great-grandfather.
