Very nice Kirk, I have yet to make it up for my first hunt of the season, my cabin in Gladwin is calling but the body isn't.... Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can start to chase grouse and hopefully not all of the woodcock have left Michigan.

That's where I generally hunt and where i shot these doodles. 3 of the birds are mine and 2 are my cousins. I shot 3 out of 5 which felt pretty good after a long 0 for streak. Their are definitely plenty of woodcock to be had, or at least their still was this past Saturday.

Kirk, you are killing me..... Just went to the Dr today, and he put my foot back into the boot..(cast removeable) this sucks big time..... I guess I'm looking at Dec season
