The W.R. Jorgenson Patent No. 1,156,293 which covers the Jostam Anti-Flinch pad was granted Oct 12, 1915, and the company catalogues say "Organized 1914." If one studies a number of Jostam Anti-Flinch recoil pads you find older pads which just have a Dec. 29, 1914, patent date that equates to J.S. Day's Patent No. 1,123,180, and the Oct. 12, 1915 date. Later versions of the pad included later patent datss that actually appied to the Jostam Hy-Gun, and the patent date for the Huntley sponge rubber pad which Jostam seems to have taken over/acquired after WW-I. I have found pre WW-I requests is the A.H. Fox Gun Co. records for the Jostam Anti-Flinch.
