I don't see how one could judge the condition of the muzzle; keels and spacing, evidence of file cuts, etc., given the aspect of this photo. An end-on closeup is needed to properly assess these things. One thing the description is way off on is the estimated DOM - a 170XXX SN would put this gun in the mid- to late 1915-16 era, not 1928. Given that anomaly, I would look carefully for more inconsistencies in either the gun or description or both. The "almost impossible to come by" is pure seller's hype; TPS will give you the number of guns in this configuration that records are available for. They are out there.....
