When I use BP it is mostly for hunting in late fall when rabbit, quail, duck and dove are all in season. For 20 gauge 2 1/2 dram 7/8 oz of 6's, the 12 gauge it's 3 dram 1 1/8 oz of #6's and the 10 gauge it's 4 dram 1 1/4 oz of #4's. I do have to scrape the glue, but it's not much. I soak the brass in MAP and run them in a tumbler. It's alot of work which I am shy of, however I find it rewarding to do it like granddaddy.

There is an old Sears catalog 1903 load I want to try next.
They were paper roll crimp, 1 1/8 oz. shot with a 3 1/4 and
3 1/2 dram of Black powder. Probably won't be able to fit
the 3 1/2 dram load in the 2.5" brass shell though.

Certainly is time consuming. Finally got around to loading up and shooting some 16ga and it was enjoying.......althought the entire course was doubles and I had no idea if I hit anything....needless to say, I didn't break many birds. Will get them loaded back up for a black powder shoot in July at a local club. It is fun to shoot with BP a few times a year. I use a load of 2 3/4 drams pyrodex, 1 oz of #8 in a magtech and Alcan brass. Using ducocement as an adhesive.
