OK,

My thought was it may have been a 12/20 set originally.
But it was likely just ordered as a heavy 20g.

1 1/2 frame Twist barrels are scarce. Vulcan Steel are much easier to find.

Only the last 3 or 4 stock books show frame sizes. They are included in the letter. It would be rare to find frame size request in the order books. You do sometimes see the abbreviation "lte" meaning they wanted a light gun. I think Parker just used the overall requested weight to determine what size frame to use.

i think somebody forgot to bore those big heavy 20 gas out to a 12 ga...really both these guns are really nice...if i had the money that 1 1/2 frame 20 would be at my house...would make a fine squirl gun to tote around....charlie
