Just as a bit of background...
Austin Hogan initiated a "Contributor" pin for those who contributed material for
Parker Pages in the way of articles, stories, pictures, etc. and it was accompanied by a nicely printed letter to the contributor in thanks for what he/she had sent for publication.
One pin was sent for the first contribution and with additional contributions, additional thank you letters were sent... not additional pins. Some members have a folder full of these letters of thanks, while some have chosen to frame them for the office or gun room wall. The Doubles Club came along a couple of years later and initially I believe the same parameters were followed. I don't know when or why that may have been changed.
'Once a contributor, always a contributor' I would think.... likewise, 'once a doubles club member, always a doubles club member. In my mind it would be an exercise in redundancy to send additional pins for every re-qualification of shooting a double with a Parker. Now if one were to shoot a double on groundhogs again and again and again and again...... it would be kinda like groundhog day again and again and again.....
