You are probably right it's going to take more GD to get the velocity with 1 1/4 oz. I can use the load in my Parker only while the target load needs to be used in both guns.

Agree with you on shot size and 6 problem is three clubs I belong to only one allows 6 for targets and like to shoot a load on targets a lot before taking it hunting . Plan on doing some testing 6 vs 7 see if I can get the # 7 to work .

I had been loading 1 1/8 oz with 7625 and 1 1/4 oz with 4756. I have plenty of 4756 and no 7625. I am having a terrible time finding any powders for shotgun. What I have for 12 gauge is not worth loading as the price of lead is so high store bought shells are cheeper. I have saved what shot I have for sub gauge.

We can get about any Alliant powder locally, gun club bulk orders are starting to be filled too. Afraid higher prices are the new normal though

I load 12ga all the time for SC's but only use 3/4oz of shot. The price is way below factory ammo - about 3.50/box. But then I order from a distributer through my club and buy in quantity for lower prices. Shot is 36 a bag, primers 110/5000 and wads around 88/5000. Power is from 80 to 110 for 8 pounds, but hard to get right now. I've been using some I hadn't before like Green Dot and American Select. They both seem like great powders. We usually put in a 6 to 8000 dollar order about four times a year so they hold powder for us which is nice.
