Totally OT, but I have a friend who chops (not turns) out hand-made wooden bowls with an adze. He goes to a lot of craft shows to do demos along with his neighbor, who happens to make damascus knives. So naturally, they worked a deal and now he has a damascus adze. Talk about cool!

Default Try Gun

I think I saw this gun in Rutland about 12 years ago, in company of a more conventional try gun also built on a VH frame. The the stock and metal work were not adaptations of commercially available parts but apparently made by the gunsmith / fitter. My guess is that this one was an attempt at a competition dimension try gun.The butt plate is adjustable, as I remember.

Best, Austin
