I tried a 1/4" (slit 1/2" in half) and the crimp was dished. That was the first on I tried. Ill try peeling a tad off the 1/2" and see what that does
What you should being trying to achieve is roughly 1/2 inch from top of the shot to the top of a new unfired hull for a folded crimp, about half as much for a roll crimp.
