The NID was introduced in the 1926 Ithaca Gun Co. catalogue. All the 10-gauge NIDs on the regular frame, in the serial number range beginning at 425000, are Super-Tens. The 10-gauge Flues, Minier, Lewis, Crass, NIG, and Baker model Ithacas are not Super-Tens. That said I for several years watched a fellow shooting 3 1/2 inch Magnum-Ten shells in an ancient Damascus barrel Crass Model on the firing line above Stratford Refuge in the 1960s!!
