Chris,

I have one gun that is light and kicks a bit too much for me with 7/8 oz loads. So, I've been loading the following. They are real pussycat loads. You might have to find a different wad for the 2.5 though.

Rem STS or Gun Club
13.8 gr of Green Dot
Claybuster 1075-20
Win 209
3/4 oz shot
I believe the velocity is reported to be <1200
Cannot remember the pressure but you can look it up on the Alliant site

I loaded this load down to 12 gr of Green Dot for kids just starting to shoot. I have no idea what the velocity might be but we broke targets quite well with them. Crimps were getting to be questionable in 2.75 in shells but you might try loading them down for the 2.5.
