Now that the powder is about 30.00 a pound what would you bet that when the powder shortage ends the price stays in the 30.00 a pound range.

Yep. It all makes you wonder who all is involved in the conspiracy. Assuming there is one, of course

I don't think I have paid 30 a pound even the last couple years

Even though it took searching and some patience, I eventually found what I needed

Like Rick, I have been able to find what I need without paying out the nose for it. I did find some PB and 7625 pounders and bought them at around $25/lb but they have always been a little more expensive. I was buying 20/28 at around $19/lb and REd and Green dot around $20. I bought 2 lbs of Longshot at $22.50 but think I'll try to get rid of it as it really does not fit with what I want to load.

It may depend on the area you are in but in this area in Goerga powder runs 30.00 to 36.00 a pound. At any rate since we have had a democratic president in office (2008) the price of powder has at least doubled.

We order thru the club from a distributor - no sales tax and no shipping. Most powders are under $112 for 8#s. Promo is 88/8 and Clay Dot is 92/8. I'd never pay 30/lb. You guys are gonna have to start buying 8 lbs at a time and find a way to get it cheaper.

I found some IMR 4831 in an eight pound Jug the other day and it was $250.00. That was in Alabama. Powder at the New Cabala's in Atlanta was 30.00 and up. If you guy's can buy 8 lbs at $112.00 you are lucky.

If it provides any schadenfreude for those on this thread, I saw an 8-lb jug of Red Dot at the Louisville show yesterday. For the low, low price of $259 ! For some reason, no one seemed to be grabbing for it...
