Im not sure I ever told you, Bill, but that was also the rifle cartridge of my 2nd drilling, bought from Gary, in 1974. It, too, was a Sauer, but full sidelock top lever with a side cocking lever for the rifle hammer. it was one of the nicest Drillings I ever owned, 2nd only to a Merkel 20X20X8x60mm.
My wife and I had our condo robbed and the a$$hole stole the drilling. The cutest was a 28gaX28xWin 25-25 hammer drilling. I believe Kirby Hoyt bought that one from Gary at the last Sandanona Vintagers. |

My Sauer is the opposite working system from Edgar's. Mine is "Side lever to open, top lever to select rifle barrel." Pretty neat.

Wayne: The only number on the bottom of rifle barrel is 62/78. If that helps any. I also noted as Bill stated that a 410 fits real nice. Thomas
