Like Paul I don't see any reason to Roll Crimp, volume I load it would slow things down. Don't know of any defined "low pressure" point. Probably guage specific smaller bores run at higher pressures.

I have two target loads both in AA Hulls using Claybuster Wads.

VH # 2 frame Vulcan Steel Parker 7/8 oz shot 16.5 of Red Dot. This one straight from Alliant's web site, they say 7300 lbs 1200 fps. It’s a great clay target load. Recoil and performance a duplicate of B&P’s Competition One 7/8 oz

GH # 1- 1/2 frame Damascus Parker 3/4 oz shot and 15.7 of Red Dot. This is not a recommended load, Alliant calls for Extra Lite powder when using ¾ oz , not available so I backed off my VH’s load one power and shot bushing. It burns clean no issues.

Few years ago I would never use anything but recommended loads. Now have to make do with what I can get using some common sense. The 1 1/2 frame gun is fine with the 2 frame guns load, however it weighs just under 7 lbs and just feels better with the lighter load. I use it for Clay's and it breaks them at distance. Chokes are so tight light shot loads deliver plenty of pellets on target.

Also load a spreader shell in Green Remington Gun Clubs, green so I can tell them apart in my shell bag, same charge and shot weights as the regular target loads. The Polywad disk spreader insert takes up some shot space so go up one larger size wad. = 7/8 oz shot 1 oz Claybuster wad. The spreader is very effective to about 20 yards.
