Your are absolutely right, I am mighty rusty right now. I have only seen this in partial bags of shot sizes I do not use much and which is bought ($15/bag) many years ago. But with the problems with lead cost skyrocketing, a year from now we may wish we had stored more of that cheap $48 a bag lead. I think the oxidation answer us right, and am beginning to suspect that storage in tightly sealed cans may be the solution to preventing it.
