Ha! That means you are shooting a Parker! My SBT S#177123 drops right open and locks up like a safe.

I have a Browning Superposed that was heavily used. I just wanted one. I overpaid. The gun is okay, well worn, and it shoots just great! Open the lever and it drops open. It is a tad loose when it is open, but when locked up, it is tight as a drum.
