Rich, My observation was similar to yours and thought perhaps the Mount may have been a wounded Pheasant falling hard from the fence post top in a flapping death dive to the ground... I suppose a shot like that would be possible at close range with a 410, but can't really say for sure having never seen anything quite like this before... You may be right though, could just be the camera angle...
