In the past I've used 1oz and 17 to 19grs of 700x that was listed in the Sherman Bell data. I'm now using Promo [ same as Red Dot ] or 700X for my light 12ga loads so I guess I'm all set for 12 or 10ga loads. Sometimes I use fiber wads which really softens the recoil. It's fun to see all that paper shoot out the end of the barrel when shooting clays but I'm not sure of the pressure or velocity. I read once that back in the day when fiber wads were the norm that if the reloader was going to use the new plastic wads to decrease the powder charge by 10%. So I'll assume that by going to fiber wads I'm safe. The only draw back is the cost and the extra time it takes to reload fiber wads.
