My new to me Parker arrived today. It is a 30" 20 gauge straight grip with a checkered butt. Chambers are 2 7/8", DOC 1 1/2", DOH 2 1/4", LOP 14 1/2", chokes 0.018/0.023. It is tight on face and the metal is pretty darn nice. A little screw alignment is needed and possibly re-cut the checkering. This is a cool gun with no safety. Can't wait to shoot it!

Yes Brian you just have to keep working at it. Most of these guns have not seen the light of day in years, they all need some care and repair, its what I can afford. I would rather buy 6 fixer uppers or light on condition guns than one nice example of an "A"......its way more fun with 6!

When you get your letter could you let us know what reference was use for the checkered butt. I have a 20 gage Damascus gun that was requested as "no butt plate". It would be interesting to know if there were any other terms used for this type of butt treatment.
