My new to me Parker arrived today. It is a 30" 20 gauge straight grip with a checkered butt. Chambers are 2 7/8", DOC 1 1/2", DOH 2 1/4", LOP 14 1/2", chokes 0.018/0.023. It is tight on face and the metal is pretty darn nice. A little screw alignment is needed and possibly re-cut the checkering. This is a cool gun with no safety. Can't wait to shoot it!

I'll be expecting another letter??

Brian Hornacek 12-31-2015 07:09 PM

Yes Chuck looking forward to the letter on this one.

Yes Brian you just have to keep working at it. Most of these guns have not seen the light of day in years, they all need some care and repair, its what I can afford. I would rather buy 6 fixer uppers or light on condition guns than one nice example of an "A"......its way more fun with 6!

Great find. Those straight grip, long barreled 20's are just so sleek looking.

Love those long tang straight grip Parkers!

Absolutely gorgeous Brian. Happy New Year my friend.

Very, very nice Brian! What a find!

I know the whereabouts of a wonderful straight grip sixteen gauge GHE with 32" Parker Special Steel barrels. I've handled it several times... but it's just not for sale... NUTS!

Brian,
When you get your letter could you let us know what reference was use for the checkered butt. I have a 20 gage Damascus gun that was requested as "no butt plate". It would be interesting to know if there were any other terms used for this type of butt treatment.
