I really like the dog engraving in the first picture. I bet the research letter will solve the riddle of the initials.

Thanks Dean, I feel bad now, but not really really bad. I spent too much time looking for the "Good Deals"...keeps me broke but happy.

Dose the no 67 stamped in the stock mean it was a club gun and were they stamped at the factory. By the way it is a bueatiful gun.

At this time it's anyone's guess. Much time has passed since this gun was ordered and delivered to the original owner. When I get the PGCA letter it may provide clues to verify some of it's past. So many of the early gun clubs have gone the way of the Passenger Pigeon. I'm fortunate to be the caretaker of a beautiful shotgun from an earlier time when fine firearms and prestigious gun clubs were held in high esteem. Bruce

It would be very nice if a letter verifys that it was built for a club. Makes you wonder how big the club was (or is). I think 67 guns is a lot of guns for a club. I hace a damascus DH to. YOURS LOOKS BETTER. I am jelious.

Can't say I've seen a better deal on a nicer D grade than this one. Gorgeous. I really like the floorplate engraving.

The diligent and patient bird gets the worm! Very nice old Parker and a superb performance in the art of buying.

aren't they marked PHD for Penn Highway Dept? and of a lessor grade?

hopefully the letter will give a clue, maybe a club loaner gun for a private club? but then the initials -

nice little mystery
