I don't think the customer often specified the butt size. I think the workman or foreman used what he needed to make the weight. I have seen 0 frame guns with 1 frame stocks, and the opposite. I have seen 1 frame 16s with 0 frame stocks that could have made a weight by using a 0 frame action. I have seen a 12 gauge 1/2 frame gun with the smallest butt I have seen on any Parker, including .410. These odd guns can usually be spotted because the buttplate used is usually the one proper for the stock, not the action.
