What's that about great minds? (Terrible things to waste???)Bill/Dean, you nailed it. Lot 2570 had to be thee "sleeper" deal of the day!! What a classy clay crusher! The engraving and fence filing alone would cost how much today? Not to mention the wait. I would love to see that one show up at this year's BO-WHOOP. 14 3/4" LOP....1 1/4" comb....1 3/4" heel....8 lbs 7 ozs.....DT's, extractors. Can I see a pair, please? Come to Poppa!!! Someone scored a real honey. Congrats.

Elmer's BHE dbl trap had this Fox guy breathing in a paper bag too.
Hey wait a minute , what am I muttering about? Can I edit this? How do I delete....Time to get back on the right side of the tracks.

Not a Parker but definitely a candidate for best deal of the auction was the restored HJ Hussey "Imperial". Sold for $6,900. Metal work had been refinished and the gun restocked (probably $4k worth of wood work, alone). HJH made ~ 500 guns under the name HJ Hussey and their quality (components, materials, fit and finish) are right up there with the big names. $6,900 was a steal.

I think one of my shooting buddies bought a Hussey, but I don't know which one. Was it a big gun? I just looked. 28" bird gun.

12b, 28". I have two, one 28" and one 30". They are truly exceptional guns by any standard. My 28" gun weights 6-lbs, 3-ozs and is very well balanced. Your buddy did very well.

Sorry for "no answer" to Dave Dwyer's question. There were two exceptions Traps and I don't know which he is referring to. The website has prices posted now.

Very curious about what the jim Corbett Tiger gun went for. I saw it advertised and went and read the book again that night.
