Isn't 2 birds w/ 1 shot called a 'Scotch' double I assume either as obviously whisky induced or more likely, and safely, some one was too cheap (i.e. Scot) to want to shoot twice?

I know in the grouse crowd a true double requires a pair in the air (simultaneous or nearly so flush) killed with 2 seperate shots. They are a snooty bunch in the coverts. Probably only drink single malt- none of that plebeian blended stuff.

Any any rate I join in a hearty congrats!!

I don't know about a Scotch double but the night befor Jack Daniels stock shot up as we toasted our canine friends that had left us. If I wasn't there I'd never believe it. A covey of young birds flushed and two dogs each returned with a bird.

After hearing that two birds with one shot qualifies for the "Doubles" board, the board takes on a new quality in my mind. It's a fun thing, I hope.
