Walter Eiserer, who worked for Gary Herman for years, before he moved up to Salt Point, NY, does the nicest pigskin (and other leathers) full pads I have ever seen. He's pretty much retired but still does work for Charles at Brit. Sporting Arms.
Dean makes a good point, in that a full covered pad does look real good on a straight stock, but installing a skeleton iron only requires inleting at the heel and the iron is scribed to the stock and finished. A good stock guy who also works in metal can do this without any sanding or refinishing of the side of the stock. Walter did one of these for my dad, many years ago, on a gun that had a piece added with a rubber pad. (The previous owner must have been a gorilla, as it was 15.5" long.)
