Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

A good friend of mine who will be at the Southern and participating in the 8 gauge event, likes to fill up brass shotshells with both powder and lead. I shot his gun with 2oz of shot and 5 drams of 2f.
The first time I shot it think I rattled every filling I had and forgot who I was for a few seconds. Then I really got into it. Even in a heavy gun you know you're shooting something. That was a satisfying thump especially on long shots.

No no no ! When I got the first hammer 8 the seller sent me a few loaded shells of which a couple were 2 or 2 1/4 ounce and when I got my loader from Armbrust/Burns they included a handful of loaded rounds and a couple were two ounce . They all jarred me pretty well . Then a few years later I wanted to make a gobble bird load and did some stout Armbrust 2 and 2 1/4 ounce loads using if memory serves Blue Dot . I never finished shooting my pattern test loads and I forgot about killing a turkey . The 000000 buck loads with ten pellets are stout enough for me and about as recoiling as the 2 1/4 ounce loads . I’m pretty sure I’ve potted my last deer with an 8 gauge or anything else for that matter .
