10, 8 and 4 bore load data

Here is some load data for the big bores, its from a book from the UK that is around 45 years old so i am not sure how relevant it will be, but it might interest some folk.

Thanks James. Those loads are much hotter than what we’re loading in our 8g guns. We’re loading 1 1/2 oz of shot and much less powder. Those Remington hulls will no longer be produced. Are Henry hulls made over in England? I have never heard of them.

A good friend of mine who will be at the Southern and participating in the 8 gauge event, likes to fill up brass shotshells with both powder and lead. I shot his gun with 2oz of shot and 5 drams of 2f.
The first time I shot it think I rattled every filling I had and forgot who I was for a few seconds. Then I really got into it. Even in a heavy gun you know you're shooting something. That was a satisfying thump especially on long shots. |

Here are some more loads taken from a book published in 1978, the powder called N82 is an old discontinued UK powder, i last used it in the 1980's.
