Larry, you will not come any closer to the actual number produced than the information in the Serialization and Identification book.

The SB does not include extrapolated totals, so it isn't a real good source. Where did the 490 come from? Is the extra 30 after the 267 and the 193 the estimated production after 1939? The best place to have gone with the least effort was The Parker Story, where you could get the totals by grade in known stock book and IBM card entries, in addition to the extrapolated total. The "by grade" total is 568, which includes, by my count from the appendix, 62 of the 568 as an extrapolated estimate, and 506 as actual book entries. Counting of the appendix may be off by a few, but Mr. Mullins' total is as the book states.
