Since this is a 1931 Western calendar, I would guess that this is a prototype Winchester 21 with a snap off forend. "Never seen such a thing." you say? I have a prototype 21 with snap off forend in cutaway persuasion. Check out the long blue receiver and the relaxed pistol grip, featured on early 21s. John Olin was CEO of Western Cartridge at that time and fond of the 21.

Stuck at home, truck is in the shop. Thought you might enjoy these decanters found at flea markets. Would be nice to add a quail and pheasant.
