Yes, the same proof mark is on the barrel flats, along with some others. This oval with the lion is one I have not seen before, & can not find any reference for it. The guy I purchased the gun from called it a Guild gun. I understand what a guild gun is, but a stamp like this looks like a manufactures mark. Jim.

The PT is a Paris nitro proof. The Lion/GF? Not a proof mark. So it must be the maker. Whoever that may be...
