I have an Americase that came with my K-80. It's been on airlines a few times and other than some scratches, it held up nicely. Only drawbacks are price and weight.

Default cases

I have an Americase double sided take down - it is built like a tank and if somehow you can damage it the customer service is great. But it also weighs like a tank, it is my choice when travelling by vehicle. I have no doubt the case would survive even if the truck didn't.

My last airline trip with a firearm, I borrowed a friend's TuffPak - http://www.tuffpak.com/

it was a breeze get through the airport, it does not scream gun, several people asked about golf and i saw it handled by baggagemen a couple times and due to its conformation they had to stack it carefully. ( as opposed to one friend who watch his aluminum case miss landing on the baggage cart when tossed from the plane). and everything arrived in perfect shape.

I have seen my Aries cases thrown great distances by baggage handlers. It really doesn't bother me, but I would like to have some pictures. I have lost a couple of corners but never any damage to the guns.
