It is tidal water Charlie and the tide was low but incoming in that last picture. Scott and I have a running joke many years old, which is poking fun of another friend. If you look in the last photo on the left side you can see Scott's foot prints in the mud under the water. "The ducks are going to see your foot prints Scott" and they are not going to come in

Dean we had a friend who was actually concerned about it. Which reminds me of another unforgettable moment. When we were on a guided spring snow goose hunt in upstate NY, the guide told us to be quiet or the decoying snow geese would hear us. I am sure they were going to hear us over the 2 electronic callers in the decoys and the squawking honks of dozens of them together as they came in
