Parker never used any sort of a hardened plate on the forend loop of their barrels. Who knows what the pin on these barrels is for.

When it comes to Parkers I've learned to never say never. That's one killer straight grip D Gary. What happened to the hammers, did they fall off?

Possibly the roll pin is the axle for a roller. Different type of forend attachment?

I thought maybe it had something to do with the rib but I looked at the two vent rib guns I have and there is no pin. Some type of repair to the lug perhaps. Regardless what a wonderful find.
