Gary - that is a wonderful Parker and the first Grade 1 T/A I've ever seen with that engraving. I have later Grade 1 T/A's from 1892 and 1893 that do not have that engraving and I find it odd that they don't.

Compare that engraving with that of a Grade 1 (or P Grade) hammerless which started in production a little over a year after yours was made and you'll see where the engraving shop at Parker Bros. got the idea for the PH engraving motif.
