Thanks Gary, I will give it a try. My bell collars are generally loose so that I can just slip them over their heads. I sure hope that works as I just hate the way those raw shins look--and I'm sure it doesn't feel good either.
Now if we can just fix Betty's tail-- it is a bloody, raw mess unless I wrap duct tape around it before hunting. I have found that duct tape holds up better than anything else. THe male, Shiner, does not have this problem.
