Looking for Ivory Bead

I see they are very proud of them $35.00... both are backordered. Which thread would you recommend the 6-48 or the 3-56?

I use #661-104-004AH (4mm) sight bead. $13. N.E.C.G. Mamoth Tusk ivory (so according to the catalog no international trade restrictions are violated).

I was wrong about 2 sizes.

"Undersize 6-48 thread, secure with epoxy adhesive."

I would say that the unaltered hole is probably 3-56. If it has been retapped to 6-48 you are in business. If not you will need to remove material as I described above to make it fit the factory hole.

Check with Dale Edmonds. He can fabricate one from mammoth tusk and install it.
Did one for me on a GH. Nice touch and reasonably priced!

I put one of the CSMC large size ivory beads on my .410. It draws a lot of comments. It looks like it belongs on an eight gauge. It is hard to miss with that gun. I didn't install it, but suspect it is pressed and glued in place.

It was soft enough to self thread into the hole. Turn it out, put the sight in a pin vise, put the pin vise in a drill press, and using a fine emery board(s) purchased at a beauty supply place create the size you want.

Thread it back in place with ever so little super glue so you don't lose it.
