My Parker DH was made in 1905 and I assume it came with a splinter forend, the research letter does not say. I actually like the beavertail forend better but it's not that big of a deal, I was just wondering about the semi-beavertail configuration. The research letter also says the gun's weight is 7lbs 12 ounces, it sure didn't seem that heavy for the time I carried it pheasant hunting in South Dakota two weeks ago--maybe because it's just so darn beautiful.
