I agree Charlie would it not be something to see 100 8 gauge parkers all together and out shooting.

What would be cool and doable is to have an 8 gauge 5 stand shootoff at one of our shooting events.

The Fox collectors usually have a "rendevous" of certain models at their participating shoots. We have assembled the largest group of single barrels outside of the factory. We have also gathered Super Foxes and will again at the Northeast Shoot. I guess we could do the same if we had a display area. The display area for "big" Foxes is at the long bird shoot at the Northeast.

Back in the early days of the PGCA, we had a "reunion" of 8 gauges at an annual meeting. If I remember correctly, close to 15 were on open display and a number were in glassed display cases. Some pretty impressive guns.

How about an 8 gauge shoot off at the Fall Southern? Let's get some LCs and Lefevers out too

It will be pretty hard to get a group of Smith or Lefever 8 gauge guns together as production of 8s by those makers was extremely limited. I believe Smith made about 30 guns and Lefever, about the same or less. I have only seen one Lefever in hand, and no Smiths. They do exist, but very scarce.

I think getting teams together for each maker would be really tough, but getting several eights together would be less hard. I remember one of the LC Smith guys has shot an Elsie 8 at one of the Southerns.

Most of the Smiths are in the hands of one collector who attends most events. He probably has a few Lefevers too.
