GH 8 Guage
I'm new to this sight and was motivated to join by my recent buy of an 8 ga. GH. I have been buying and selling SXS for some time and have never been able to buy an 8 at a price that I thought fair. But now I have one and am interested in knowing the perceived value. It is a brown gun 36" bbls with good bores. Capped pistol grip. Wood is nice with checkering that is worn but very visible. Slightly off face. Original butt plate. There are no"improvements" to the gun.

No one can help you too much without some good pictures. Can you post some? The more the better.

Will have some soon

Start with a serial number. It sounds like a very interesting gun.

Michael: The last one that I sold that sounds similar to your gun, 32 inch barrels & also a GH SN 14171X. brought $9,000 a couple years ago. Hope that this helps.
Best Regards, George |
Serial # 119860. 36" bbls.

The "Book" has it as a 1903 Parker just as you have described it.

You should order a PGCA letter to see if your big gun has some interesting provenance.

Here is an old thread that ended with absolutely no information about the final disposition of this wonderful gun. Anyone know?

This happens a lot. Another one I would love to track down is the D Grade toplever 8 gauge on Shotgunworld a few years ago. The shotgunworld thread is the first link and the photobucket photos is second link. Anyone spot this one recently?
