Default Crispy GH

Take a look at this charred Parker on gb. It clearly shows as a grade 2 on the water table, but the engraving is of grade 3 (DH) quality. The gun books as a grade 2 as well.

Its an antique made in 1891. Why does an FFL need to be involved?

Because some people do not understand the rules and some others want to cover their butts just in case

I was more bringing this up because of the engraving. What do all of you think? Has anyone previously observed DH engraving on a GH before?

I have not seen D engraving on a G before but I bet there is more than one. Perhaps it was less expensive to upgrade the G engraving than to buy a D? That stock was quite nice and could have been an upgrade also. It would be interesting to see a factory letter on this one.
