I searched the Parker Pages index on our site and found that there was an article "The Doctors Gun" by Todd Allen published in 2016

I remember the reference to the “doctors gun” many years before Todd’s article.
Perhaps in Peter Johnson’s book or Larry Baer’s... .

It wasn't Johnsons. If it was Baer....I must have misplaced that book.

Spellcheck really ruins the English language.
I noticed that it ‘corrected’ my spelling of Baer so I corrected spellcheck’s misspelling of it then I saw where spellcheck misspelled your word “misplaced”.... absolutely infuriating! .

In all honesty that could have been my fat thumbs on cell phone keyboard...but lets just go ahead and blame spell check.
