In 16-gauge most of mine are the low brass UPLAND or Dove & Quail (while the 12- & 20-gauge D&Q used the Poly-formed hull for 16-gauge they used the compression formed hulls) hulls and I have been forever using the data from the Winchester/Western Loading Guide. I split the loads underlined in yellow --
1979 16-gauge Lading Data.jpeg My powder bushing actually throws 20.5 grains. When Winchester discontinued the WAA-16 wads I bought all that Green Top had and that carried me through until Clay Buster brought out the clone. |
