Old Winchester 16 gauge hulls

I acquired several boxes of Winchester super X 16 gauge. The hulls seem to be AA thick. Box says one piece compression formed plastic. Picture on side has what looks like to be two paper absorb shock wads with cup wad to form seal. Can these be reloaded with a modern wad, and what recipe should I follow?

Thank you
Jeff

They are a compression formed AAs with higher brass. They will take the same loads. Sometimes the higher brass is a little tougher to deal with in reloading. Also, some have six-point crimps and some have the same eight-point crimp as the AAs. The Olins stuck with their fiber wads and Super-Seal Cup Wad for many years after Remington/Peters went to plastic wads.

Where can I find loading data?

In 16-gauge most of mine are the low brass UPLAND or Dove & Quail (while the 12- & 20-gauge D&Q used the Poly-formed hull for 16-gauge they used the compression formed hulls) hulls and I have been forever using the data from the Winchester/Western Loading Guide. I split the loads underlined in yellow --

My powder bushing actually throws 20.5 grains.

When Winchester discontinued the WAA-16 wads I bought all that Green Top had and that carried me through until Clay Buster brought out the clone.
