I use a Pachmayr pad. They absorb recoil well, and the interior of the pad is quite soft so it won't leave any discoloration on your stock. ( at least they haven't on any of mine )

I have both the CSMC gamekeeper and the Galco
Either is a good choice The Galco is better finished a bit more expensive and harder to find

I, too; have both and have the same conclusions that Rick has. Either brand adds 5/8" to the LOP on my guns.

Galco has two sizes and I love them both both, one for 28/410 stocks and the other for larger stocks. Very high quality and good looks.

Actually, Galco offers 5 different sizes. CSMC Gamekeeper pads are offered in 3 sizes.
